What's on offer at Starlight?   At Starlight our priority is to nurture, support and give your child the confidence they need to push forward with whatever their dream is. Our school offers a musical theatre course of dance, drama and singing in accordance to the syllabus of the United Kingdom Alliance (U.K.A) board. Lamda exams are also available. There are lots of performance opportunities for your child to take part in at Starlight. We hold our charity show every other year at Blackburn Empire Theatre. Our last show was a huge success. We raised a massive £1000 for Pulmonary hypertension association (PHA) and the students made us so proud on the stage with really positive feedback from all parents. We also do annual performances at Clayton Brook festival and other local events and every year we put on a show at our Preston venue for our parents to watch. We also enter competitions around the North west and now have a competition class dedicated to working with our competition team.  We have our U.K.A examinations at least once a year, usually in the summer and to date have 100% pass rate with promising grades from all of our students.  Throughout the year we offer holiday clubs. The clubs are a week long and within that week the children pull together a full show including scenery, costumes, dance, song and drama to put on a spectacular show for the parents at the end of the week. Our holiday clubs are ideal for parents who need childcare but we also have children that attend who love to be a part of the preparation and performance of the show. Please see our events page for holiday club prices and contact us for the next holiday club dates. We also arrange regular trips to the theatre. We aim to see at least one musical theatre show and one ballet within the year.   At Starlight we want to be able to offer as many opportunities as we can to our students, but we must stress that not all of these activities are compulsory and we offer a service that is right for each individual family or child. Please contact us for more information on how we can get your child started with the Starlight team.
